Jeff Rapson

Mr. Rapson comes to Search Initiatives with over 30 years of direct sales, channel marketing and business development experience primarily in selling sophisticated software systems to major newspapers groups and printers throughout North and South America. He has also acted as a business development and sales advisor to a number of newspaper system vendors as they succeeded in building out new markets, products and distribution channels.

Mr. Rapson worked for Atex Media Solutions a key systems vendor to the newspaper marketplace where he held a range of management positions including Director of Sales, Director Business Development and Director of Managed Service Offerings. He has worked in a variety of Sales and Marketing positions for Cascade and Quark, two prominent vendors to the newspaper, magazine, catalog and retail marketplaces. Prior to these engagements, he ran the US office of HighWater Designs. HighWater Designs purchased Mr. Rapson’s distribution and sales company AGS from him in early 1993 to launch their roll out in the USA. During his tenure at HighWater, he was responsible for developing the UK parent’s North and South American sales, marketing and service presence in the USA. Jeff guided the company through its start up phases and ultimately through the spin off of the company’s software assets; notably the FBI software package to Signum Inc in the UK. Jeff also developed HighWater’s distribution channels amongst the key graphic arts resellers in North and South America.

Mr. Rapson graduated from York University in Toronto with a BA in History and most recently received his MBA in Leadership from Franklin Pierce College in NH. Mr. Rapson is a graduate of sales seminars given by AMA, Xerox and Mike Bosworth’s Solution Selling
